PDX Runway Run
Saturday, September 24, 2016
Join the Portland International Airport and Hood to Coast Race Series in a one-of-a-kind opportunity to run or walk on PDX’s north runway. The Portland International Airport was just named best airport in the U.S. by Travel + Leisure for the fourth year in a row.
The PDX Runway Run is Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, and is a part of the year-long celebration of Portland International Airport’s 75th anniversary. The race is 6K, from one end of the north runway to the other end, and back. Register now; participants are limited to 2,500.
Hood to Coast Race Series is managing the race registration, event management, and administration. Registration includes a finisher medal, participant tech t-shirt, refreshments, partner village, PDX educational displays, and exclusive access to the north runway. This is a timed event with awards given out to the top finishing participants.
To complete the registration process, each participant and volunteer must provide his or her full legal name and date of birth so a background check can be completed. The first, middle and last name entered at online registration must match a valid, government-issued photo identification presented during the day of the event. If your identity cannot be verified, or if you do not pass the background check, you will not be allowed to participate in the event.
Participants 12 and older are welcome to run. Ages 12 to 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children under 18 are not required to provide government-issued photo identification if accompanied by a participating adult.
All race participants and volunteers are subject to TSA screening protocols. No weapons or firearms allowed.

Hood to Coast Race Series is working with the Port of Portland’s Waste Minimization Team to host a zero waste run that reduces waste, minimizes landfill trash, and maximizes recycling.
To minimize waste and adhere to security protocol, water bottles and bags are not allowed into the event. Water will be available on the course. Once complete, participants will receive bottled water.
Please bring a minimum of gear with you to the event. If needed, bag check will be provided in the packet pick-up area.
