Les Schwab Tires Helvetia Half Marathon, 15K, and 10K Run/Walk, and 25mi Bike Race
Saturday, June 9 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
June 9, 2018 – The Helvetia Half, 15K, 10K and 25mi bike race begins and ends at Ron Tonkin Field, home of the Hillsboro Hops. The spectacular contained course with road closure travels through the pasturelands of Northwest Oregon; past the hamlet of Helvetia and its historic landmark, Helvetia Tavern, and back to the Ron Tonkin Field for a grand finish in front of 3,000 runners and bike racers, and in center field in perfect view of the giant screen amid a cheering crowd for runners and walkers. Helvetia Tavern Burgers (meat or veggie) and beer garden await participants. It’s no wonder the Helvetia Half Marathon has been voted the BEST HALF MARATHON in the Northwest! This course is hilly and challenging which makes the reward even better! Enjoy all of this and live music by The Junebugs at the 18th Annual Helvetia Half, 15K, 10K and 25mi Bike Race.
Don’t forget your costume! We will be hosting a “Best Farm Animal” Costume Contest.
You may register on race day, however you will incur an additional premium fee, and we cannot not guarantee any specific race shirt/sizes.
2016 Participant Feedback
Fun event. The atmosphere was superb. I really enjoyed the course route, first time running it so I am sure I missed a lot of the scenery! I’m be back for sure and bring some runners from my area with me. The band was awesome. This was my sixth 1/2 marathon this year and it was the best. –Matt P.
The 2016 Helvetia Half Marathon was just as advertised, and more! I happened to be visiting Portland the week of this race. The scenery is gorgeous. While the rolling hills do make for a challenging run, the burgers and beer at the end made it all worth-while. I predict it will be the crown jewel of the Series soon! I plan to return in June, and am excited about the new 25-mile bike race. Kudos to HTC Race Series for planning and executing this event to perfection. You can tell they love what they do! –William S. (Tallahassee, FL)
